What students sayCharles Tulloch
Policy Adviser, After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree, and keen to apply my written and analytical skills to working in the public sector, I enrolled in the Masters of Public Policy and Management to further my knowledge of the way the public sector operates. The course provided an interesting background to the current conduct of public services in Australia and around the world by assessing real-world case studies from a variety of policy perspectives that governments face when addressing complex problems. It also provided enlightenment about how to manage my workplace conduct, and that of others, to achieve organisational outcomes; a broad background to the types of unique challenges that the public sector faces in serving the public interest; and a range of tools to help me progress good ideas through relevant channels. I recommend this course to anyone seeking a career in the public sector and to those interested in better understanding the ways the public, private and not-for-profit sectors interact. The knowledge you will learn in a structured manner will develop your interest in cross-cutting issues faced by public organisations throughout the world.
