Visiting Academic - Professor Leo Paas

Visiting from March to June 2009

Leo Paas

As an academic working at a university in the Netherlands, I find Monash University a very suitable institution for a sabbatical visit. During my stay I am working on teaching and research. Both environments are truly international providing a strong basis for extending my experience. In terms of research my choice for Monash is based on the strong team of senior academics that are active within the department and the large team of motivated Ph.D students. Much of my research concerns cross-cultural and international issues, hence the international nature of the staff and Ph.D students provides ample opportunities for forming new teams to work in. From a more personal perspective Melbourne and the surrounding area is a very attractive region for my family who has joined me on this sabbatical.
