For over 40 years the Department of Marketing has presented the annual Monash Marketing Awards for Excellence. These annual awards celebrate the discipline of marketing and acknowledge those undergraduate and postgraduate students who have achieved outstanding results in individual units and courses.
The 2012 Monash Marketing Awards for Excellence are open to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The awards encourage and reward high achieving students. Award recipients, and their family and friends, will be invited to attend a formal presentation of the awards.
Unit awards
Undergraduate units are studied across all of the Monash campuses, and offer students a strong basis of marketing principles and techniques used in industry today. Award winners are selected based on the marks they achieved in each unit. The winner of each award is the student/s who obtained the highest mark.

Winners of the course awards are those students who have achieved the highest grade point
average within their respective course of study, and this is calculated based on their marks for every unit undertaken throughout their course.

Bachelor of Business (Marketing) – by application only
Applications are open to high-achieving graduating students who wish to pursue a professional marketing career. The award includes a cash prize and mentoring over a period of 12 months by Tony Palmer, Chief Marketing Officer at Kimberly-Clark Corporation. Students must submit an application for the Bachelor of Business (Marketing) award in November and attend an interview in December. The successful candidate is announced in December.
Monash DraftFCB Advertising Scholarship – by application only
This scholarship was first established in 1993 and offers an internship with advertising agency, DraftFCB. The scholarship allows one graduating student from the Department of Marketing at Monash University to be employed on a full-time basis with DraftFCB in Melbourne for nine months, including an agency paid visit to one of DraftFCB’s affiliated offices overseas. This scholarship provides paid account management experience in an advertising agency.
Students must submit an application for the scholarship in November and attend an interview. The successful candidate is announced in December and commences work with the agency in January/February of the following year.
