International Marketing Study Program 2002

Our weekend in Hong Kong

5 January 2002

We arrived in Hong Kong all in good spirits after an 8 hour flight from Melbourne. Upon arrival at the hotel we met up with the rest of the group who had flown to Hong Kong before Christmas. Being their home town, they took us under their wings and showed us the incredible sights of Hong Kong. The shopping malls, the markets, Victoria Peak and the night life - we couldn't get enough!!!

Whilst some acquired a taste for Taiwanese toast, Sandra and Michael indulged in chicken feet - the rest of us weren't game enough!! We travelled to Central to find a western bar (also frequented by Elvis!), where Katie was approached by an Israelii hunk and just when things were starting to heat up we all had to leave to make the last train home! On our last night we were all a little apprehensive about karaoke, but by the end of the night we were all up on the table belting out tunes from every era!!

Sad to leave but excited to move on we left Hong Kong and headed to Manchester. What an experience, what an incredible place - I'm sure I'll be back one day to explore more!
