Units in Marketing
Many of the units below give background information on a functional aspect of marketing. For example: marketing
research or advertising, or in a particular industry like retailing or tourism. In some units, business people are invited
to be guest lecturers and may brief you on 'real' projects. They may also be able to answer your questions about career
progression and entry level positions.
Look far and wide over the Faculty and over the University to select your electives. As long as you have the
prerequisites and there are no timetable clashes, you can complement your study in marketing with units in management,
accounting, or banking and finance. These wider choices may expose you to different teaching styles and points of view.
