Welcome to MONFORMA 2012

We are pleased to announce the MONFORMA 2012 Dinner CIMA Keynote Speaker as Markus Granlund, a Professor of Management Accounting at Turku School of Economics, University of Turku, Finland.

Professor Granlund is also a Visiting Professor at University of Technology, Sydney. Markus' research interests cover a wide range of technical and behavioral issues in management accounting and information systems. His main interests currently concern the relationships between management control, uncertainty and innovativeness, the interface of modern IT and management control, the different applications and effects of the Balanced Scorecard, and the nature and content of management accounting theory. He is Associate Editor of European Accounting Review and International Journal of Accounting Information Systems. He has also been involved with a number of development projects concerning management accounting and information systems in major companies and public sector organisations.

Registration for MONFORMA 2012 will end on Wednesday 8th February, 2012.

Once you have completed and submitted the registration form you will receive an email  confirming your registered details.  A link to the electronic payment facility will be included in this email and you will be able to proceed to process your credit card payment. Registrations are valid only when accompanied by payment confirmation of your Registration Fee.

Accommodation

Once you have completed your registration and processed the payment, you can proceed to make your accommodation booking.  We are pleased to announce a new venue for MONFORMA - the Brighton Savoy. Symposium

The Monash University Forum for Management Accounting 2012 (MONFORMA 2012) will be held in Melbourne from 15-17 February 2012. This event builds upon the successful MONFORMA 2009 and 2010 events. MONFORMA 2012 will feature a Colloquium for Management Accounting PhD students on Wednesday 15 February. An Early Bird Cocktail Reception for all registrants will be held on the evening of Wednesday 15 February with the conference continuing on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 February.

Over 20 universities were represented at MONFORMA 2010 attended by all major Australian universities with active Management Accounting researchers. The conference is designed to enrich discussion among Management Accounting academics and promote and initiate research opportunities within the management accounting discipline.
