1 May 2007
The South East Metropolitan Victorian Business Centre (VBC) helps business grow and become more competitive in both a domestic and global marketplace. A wide range of assistance is available that is specifically tailored to the various stages of the business growth cycle.
These cycles were explained by Mr Rob Chandler, Regional Manager for the Victorian Department of Innovation Industry and Regional Development during a seminar hosted by Monash University’s Faculty of Business and Economics at the Peninsula campus in Frankston.
As head of the VBC in Dandenong, Rob and his team are committed to fostering an environment that stimulates growth, creates jobs, increases exports and generates wealth within Victoria. Rob emphasise the importance of a strategic review and business plan for people who want to start their own business. The VBC provides a wide range of support services to both intending and established small businesses throughout the region.
The South East Metropolitan Region is considered the heart of Victorian manufacturing with an economy considered to be bigger than Adelaide. It is home to a diverse range of both light and heavy major industry from steel mills to high tech conductors, from food to automobiles. The South East Metropolitan VBC plays a pivotal role in attracting investment into the region and works closely with other players to bring projects to fruition.
