New opportunities arise in China with scholarships
One of China’s leading business schools Shanghai Jiaotong University’s Antai Business School is now offering scholarships for Monash MBA students. An agreement between the two universities was signed during a recent visit by a Monash delegation to China.
“I am delighted that this outcome has been achieved because it links our MBA and Monash Graduate School of Business with Antai – and Antai Business School is clearly seen as one of a small number of China’s Leading Business schools,” Professor Gill Palmer said.
The economic development of China needs a lot of management professionals who understand the protocols of international economic development.
Shanghai Jiaotong’s MBA program has been in existence for more than ten years now to address this need. Their MBA program caters for both domestic and overseas students to produce senior management professionals with international vision.
The Dean of the Antai College of Economics and Management Professor Wang Fang Hua said their international MBA programs have attracted more and more qualified students and partner schools over the past five years due to their increasing influence in China and internationally.
The signing of the agreement is a result of both Monash and Antai Business School’s concern to bring more exchange or visiting opportunities to their students and to create cooperation opportunities with top business schools from all over the world.
The Faculty of Business and Economics also secured funding from the Victorian State Government to support a high level bank executive training program to be offered by the faculty in collaboration with the Financial Services Institute of Australia. Fifteen students from Antai SJTU’s EMBA are to take part in this program, later next month.
