Faculty alumni and associates acknowledged on Australia Day
Monash Alumni and associates from the Faculty of Business and Economics were honoured during the recent Australia Day celebrations. Recent Chair of the External Advisory Board in the Department of Business Law and Taxation AIRC Commissioner Greg Smith has been awarded Member of the Order of Australia for his service to industrial relations through conciliation, mediation and arbitration and by assisting employers and employees to achieve fair and effective agreements.
Honorary Research Fellow Kevin Rozzoli was awarded Member of the Order of Australia for his service to the New South Wales Parliament and to the community of the Greater Western Sydney area through a range of environmental protection, health and welfare, and educational organisations.
Mrs Jennifer Lovering, graduate from 1984 was awarded the Medal in the General Division for her service to the status of women, particularly through the Women's Electoral Lobby.
Rear Admiral Rowan Moffitt, MBA (1999), was awarded the Officer of the Order of Australia for exceptional service to the Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Defence Force as the Director General Navy Capability Performance and Plans, Commandant of the Australian Defence Force Warfare Centre and as Deputy Chief of the Navy. Mr Neil Terrill, BBus (1980), was awarded the Medal in the General Division for his service to conservation and the environment, particularly in the Gippsland region, through chemical science education, water conservation and treatment and ecological sustainability.
