Faculty's strongest ever success rate in grant applications

In the latest round of funding from the Australian Research Council (ARC) researchers within the faculty were awarded 11 Discovery grants and 4 Linkage grants. For Discovery grants this represents a success rate of 34% compared to the national average of about 20%.

“This was our most successful round of ARC funding. The number of successful grants places the faculty ahead of all other business faculties in the country, and is a reflection of the strength and maturity of the research culture within our faculty.  The grants were spread across a range of disciplines and the projects demonstrate the innovation of our researchers and their ability to develop cutting-edge projects. The Linkage grants also reflect the capability of our researchers to engage and work with industry to address problems relevant to business and to the economy”, say Professor Kim Langfield-Smith Deputy Dean (Research).
