Amrik one of top 50 in the world

Professor Amrik Sohal, Deputy Head of the Department of Management has been recognised as one of the top fifty ranking researchers in the Technology Innovation Management (TIM) field.

He has not only won this award for the most recent five year period, but is one of seven researchers worldwide that has maintained this status for an entire decade. The International Association for the Management of Technology (IAMOT) will formally present the award to him at IAMOT’s annual conference in Florida in April 2009.

The winners of this quantitatively based award are among the top fifty-ranked researchers in a field that includes thousands of authors that have published during the last five years.

Through publication, the recipients of this award have undergone the most rigorous scrutiny of their work, assessment by peer-evaluators in ISI-Indexed Journals that are dedicated to research in the Management of Technology and Innovation.

Professor Sohal has also been appointed President of The Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM).
