Vice Chancellor’s Student Leadership Program now open
Applications for the Vice Chancellor’s 2010 Ancora Imparo Student Leadership Program open on 20 May 2009. All first year students studying at Victorian campuses of Monash University are eligible to apply.
The Ancora Imparo Student Leadership Program is a flagship program of Monash University that brings long-standing benefits to the community. The aim of the Ancora Imparo program is to provide students with an understanding of the visionary and inspirational principles that guide people who have made a difference to their communities or more widely.
The program involves theoretical and case study components, discussions, debates and seminars, as well as the study of classics that deal with the theme of leadership. The Program seeks a diverse group of students who share a wish to contribute to society. Forty first year students are chosen.
These students attend a three-day residential course in February followed by eight monthly seminars throughout the year. Applications for positions in the 2010 program are now open. For more information go to http://www.monash.edu.au/students/leadership/
