How business can improve environmental sustainability
The faculty recently hosted another presentation that focused on climate change and how businesses can improve their environmental and economic sustainability. The Business Associates seminar was hosted by the faculty at Berwick Campus.
Guest speaker Ms Gemma White, Program Coordinator for the Grow Me the Money program, explained how business in a time of drought, climate change and increasing public awareness of environmental issues, can make a real difference by making simple changes in the workplace.
Grow Me the Money, a joint initiative of the Victorian Employers’ Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI) and the Victoria Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) is designed to improve the environmental impact of Victorian businesses.
Ms White outlined ways for business to improve the environmental and economic
sustainability of their business through participating in the Grow Me the Money program
and to take a lead in establishing sustainable business practices. The program will help
businesses to cut waste, reduce water and energy use and save money. For more
