CHE students attend world conference on health economicsA PhD student from the Centre for Health Economics (CHE), Jean Spinks, received two commendations for her poster delivered at the 7th World Conference on Health Economics held at the Beijing International Convention Centre. Jean was part of a group of 15 students and staff from Monash University who attended and presented at the conference “Harmonising Health and Economics”. CHE students Nicole Au, Julie Namazzi and Ben Levett also attended the conference. “The conference was work in progress for all of us. It was a good opportunity for us to present some of our research findings. For me personally, the whole experience of giving a talk to an international audience was quite challenging but rewarding and the comments and feedback from the audience were very constructive. It was also a great chance to meet with health economists from around the world who specialise in our field of research,” Nicole Au said. More than 2000 delegates attended this year’s bi-annual conference. Photo: Nicole Au, Jean Spinks, Julie Namazzi and Ben Levett.
