Inaugural Joe Isaac Industrial Relations Symposium

Practitioners, scholars, students and others interested in industrial relations and human resource management have the opportunity to participate in the Inaugural Joe Isaac Industrial Relations Symposium in August.

Professor Isaac has long been one of Australia’s most distinguished scholars and practitioners in the field of industrial relations.

The symposium is hosted jointly by the Monash University Faculty of Business and Economics and the University of Melbourne Faculty of Business and Economics. The symposium is to recognise and highlight the outstanding and continuing contribution to industrial relations by Emeritus Professor Joe Isaac, who was a foundation professor at Monash University and is currently Professorial Fellow, Department of Management and Marketing, University of Melbourne.

Professor Bruce Kaufman from the USA will be the keynote speaker at the symposium. He will address the challenges in the design and operation of an efficient and fair industrial relations system.
