New tutorial rooms recognised by Design Awards

The new tutorial rooms and discipline-specific collaboration/social space for the faculty on level 2, Building N at Caulfield, has been recognised by The Australian Interior Design Awards with a Commendation. The award is given for projects that demonstrate high standards of achievement within their category, in accordance with the judging criteria.

The new space on N2 aims to improve the delivery of education at Monash through engagement, equality, empowerment and ethics. It draws together the streams of pedagogy, technology and space to support richer, more integrated teaching approaches.

The Australian Interior Design Awards recognise and celebrate interior design excellence via a credible, industry-based program, which is backed by the Design Institute of Australia, the professional body representing Australian designers.
The space on N2 received a commendation in the category Public Design.
