The Research Committee is the major Faculty committee dealing with research policy and research administration.
The committee provides recommendations and advice on research policy, research management, the allocation of research funds to academic units and any other matters concerning research referred to the Committee. It monitors research activity in the Faculty and facilitates the dissemination of research output within the Faculty, the University and the wider community. It provides advice to staff on attracting research funds and develops strategies to increase research application and success rates. The Committee also provides input on research issues to the university via the Committee of Associate Deans Research (CADRES).
The committee meets 6 times a year.
The committee is chaired by the Deputy Dean (Research) and is supported by the Manager, Faculty Research Office
