The Research Degrees Committee deals with research degrees policy and program management and administration across the Faculty.
The committee is responsible for all matters concerning doctoral and research masters students in the Faculty. It makes recommendations to the University Research Graduate School Committee concerning the eligibility of candidates to enrol for research degrees, and monitors progress. The Committee provides advice to the University Research Graduate School Committee on proposed new/changed regulations, policies and procedures concerning research studies and scholarships. It also prepares ranked ordered lists of nominations for scholarships and awards competed for on both a Faculty and University-wide basis.
The committee meets 7 times a year.
The committee is chaired by Professor Paul Collier, Associate Dean (Research Degrees), and is supported by Raylee Pasalis, Assistant Manager (Research Degrees), Faculty Research Office.
