Research Matters

Celebrate outstanding research and researchers at Monash

This year, Research Matters is being held over a two week period from Monday 17 August - Friday 28 August.

In 2008, throughout the University, 50 events were held ranging from, public lectures and seminars to information sessions. Over 1,400 people registered to attend the centrally coordinated events. The HDR student poster exhibition attracted 180 entries, 19 of which were from the Faculty.

The objectives of the Research Matters are:

  • Showcase research outcomes and exceptional researchers at Monash
  • Provide professional development opportunities to current researchers
  • Provide information and advice to future researchers
  • Attract new research students
  • Showcase the work of Monash's current research students
  • Celebrate research achievement and award staff for excellence
  • Increase the growing awareness of the University's research profile
  • Demonstrate Monash's research expertise in key areas to government, industry and the community

Events:

  1. HDR Poster Exhibition & 3 Minute Thesis Competition - opening ceremony 19 August, 2009.
