Current Business and Economics student testimonials

Caitlin Grisby - Bachelor of Business and Commerce

I chose Gippsland as opposed to my alternate choices as it allowed me to access a globally recognised and equally brilliant university, right in my own backyard. It’s facilities are well on par with the Universities in Melbourne, but its locality, beautiful settings and tight knit community are all features with which any other university options could not compete.The Business Faculty at Gippsland offers one-to-one teaching,allowing students to gain better and unmatched access to their lecturers and resources and as a result, achieve a better understanding of their field of study. The Business and Economics faculty extends opportunity after opportunity to its students, from networking with local industry to scholarships, tuition or even workshops.

Damian Maddaluno - Bachelor of Business and Commerce

After weighing up the differences each campus had on offer, I found Monash Gippsland to be the most appealing. Apart from the convenience of being close to home, what most attracted me to Monash Gippsland was its reputation for preparing students for business and its ability to personalise the relationship between teacher and student.

Alice Ryan - Bachelor of Art/ Bachelor of Business and Commerce

I enjoy studying on campus at Gippsland as it is a smaller campus than Melbourne.This makes classes more personalised, and it is quite easy to go to a lecturer and ask for help. By 2nd or 3rd year most lecturers are even able to remember your name - something that probably doesn't happen in Clayton or Caulfield!

Wayne Tan - Bachelor of Business and Commerce

What advice would I give potential students;

Just bring an open heart along! Gippsland can be great fun if you know how tolook for it. Be active! Be sociable! Be ready to try new things! It’s all about the exposure and experiences!

Joshua Hellings - Bachelor of Business and Commerce

Studying Business at Gippsland is great fun.

I am currently studying one of my subjects in Prato in Italy, which is about 20 minutes from Florence. It’s part of the Monash abroad program. I am studying one of my subjects in an intensive 3 week program. It's a lot of fun and the people are really great. If you get the chance I strongly recommend trying to make the trip!

Lauren Densley - Bachelor of Business and Commerce

I am one of 30 students here at the Gippsland Campus that are part of the Coperative Education Program (Co-op).Being part of the co-op allows me to work in a position that is relevant to my field of interest, whilst continuing to study and get paid! Co-op means Monash Gippsland is providing me with 3 important things- namely a world recognised degree, secondly money and thirdly significant experience that will assist me both now and when I have completed my study.

Matthew Dunn - Bachelor of Business and Commerce

The transition from high-school to university for many is quite a daunting challenge. Comparing my experiences at university with those of my friends at larger Melbourne institutions, it is clear that smaller campuses like Gippsland place a larger emphasis on student needs and concerns than their bigger counterparts.
