Welcome to Monash University Peninsula

Located in the heart of the friendly bayside Mornington Peninsula community, Monash University’s Peninsula campus has the best of everything. The campus offers a unique blend of city and bayside living with the security of being a vital component of Australia’s largest university. The Faculty of Business and Economics at Peninsula campus, with its strong community links and reputation for innovative research and high graduate employability, is the preferred place of study for many business students.

At Peninsula, the Faculty offers quality undergraduate and postgraduate programs with academic staff who are committed to strengthening community linkages. Campus-based initiatives include the Business Associates Program which aims to strengthen ties with the local business and education communities, thereby creating joint opportunities for students, and regional business. The Faculty at Peninsula offers single and double undergraduate degrees, an honours program, masters degrees and the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree.

There are up to 700 students enrolled in undergraduate programs on the Peninsula campus. Staff at Peninsula specialise in accounting, electronic business systems, sports management, human resource management, international business, management and marketing. In addition, the Faculty runs executive programs in wine, food and produce marketing strategy.

Mission statement

The mission of Faculty of Business and Economics - Peninsula Campus is to conduct teaching, research and community service activities that provide quality service to local and international students, the local community and the wider academic community. This mission will be achieved by becoming a recognised centre of expertise in International Business and Health and Sports Management, through research output and by the quality of teaching and student services.

Campus facilities and services

The Peninsula campus has all the facilities of a modern, student-centred campus including modern lecture theatres and class rooms, a bookshop, cafe and restaurant, licensed bar and bistro, sporting facilities including a gym, indoor sports hall and outdoor courts– all within ten minutes walk of the beach.

Every effort is made to assist students to make a smooth transition into studying at Monash. A number of programs and activities are held during Orientation Week, including sessions to familiarise students with the library and computer systems. In the first week of classes, tutorials are devoted to ensuring that students are acquainted with the general study skills and techniques needed to derive the greatest benefit from their course of study.

A number of English language assistance programs are available for students whose first language is not English. These support services include academic English, and also general and discipline-specific English language streams. In addition, study tours and short, intensive English language classes are also available for visiting international students.

Student accommodation is available on-campus or nearby in one, two, four or six bedroom apartments or houses. These residences are linked to the Monash computer system including the internet and the Monash library.
