Enrolment amendment

1. How to drop/add a unit

When enrolments are open on WES you can add or discontinue units yourself. If you experience difficulties enrolling or discontinuing units on WES please contact the Student Services Office.

Please note the census dates that are published for addition and discontinuation of units.

After WES closes, you need to complete an Enrolment Amendment form available from your Student Services Office or at each partnered location. Return the completed form to your Student Admin Office to make the changes.

Enrolment Amendment Forms are required when you wish to enrol in a unit that is not offered on your campus. WES does not allow you to enrol online in cross-campus unit offerings.

Caulfield students: Please submit your form at the Services Centre.

2. Re-enrolment opening dates

Students will receive information about re-enrolments through the University central Student Services area. This information will be sent to your Monash email account. Information about re-enrolment is also posted on the Student Services website.
Please check the Student Services website regularly for updates. New information will be posted on the Noticeboard on the Student Services website homepage.

* If you are enrolled with SPEED Hong Kong, you will receive communication direct from each partner regarding the re-enrolment process.

3. WES opening date for enrolments

The WES Access Dates for 2006 re-enrolment are available on the Student Services website.
WES opening dates will be advertised through your Monash email account by central student services. This information will also be available on the Student Services website.

Please check the Student Services website regularly for updates. New information will be posted on the Noticeboard on the Student Services website.

* If you are enrolled with SPEED Hong Kong, you will receive communication directly from each partner regarding enrolment. These locations do not use the WES system.

4. Discontinuing from your course

To discontinue your course, you are required to complete an Enrolment Amendment Form available from your Student Services Office or at each partnered location. Complete the section marked "Total withdrawal from course" and check the "Yes" box. Submit this to your Student Services Office and your discontinuation will be processed.

Caulfield students: Please submit your form at the Services Centre.

5. Changing your course

Monash students can apply for an internal transfer to another course after completing eight units of the current course. Please check the Student Services Centre for closing dates.
Students cannot transfer from a full-fee paying course into a CSP placed course.

6. 'Change' and 'remove' on WES

'Change' means changing a unit from semester to semester. It also means changing the type of class you are attending (i.e. day or evening).
'Remove' means deleting the unit altogether from your enrolment.

7. Unable to allocate tutorials on WES

Tutorial and lecture allocation is only available via Allocate+. WES allows you to check your enrolment only.

8. Role of WES

WES is the University's Web Enrolment System. It is available to all current students for: adding and discontinuing units, updating address and personal details and for checking unit results.

WES is only open to make changes to your enrolment during specific times throughout the academic year.
