Study In Australia

Students from Monash Malaysia can apply to transfer to study in Australia. The following information will help you with entry requirements, application procedures and general advice on how to get the most out of your Australian experience.

Please read through this information thoroughly before submitting an application.

The options for study in Australia are:

Course transfer
The internal course transfer policy applies to all Monash Malaysian students wishing to:

• transfer to a Caulfield or Clayton degree;
• transfer from one course to a different course at any of the Australian campuses.

Campus transfer
Students can apply for a campus transfer if they wish to complete their current course at the Berwick, Peninsula or Gippsland campuses. To be eligible students must have a minimum overall average of 50% and be on no Academic Progress Committee conditions.

Campus Exchange
Students who only want to study in Australia for one or two semesters, can opt for a campus exchange. For more information, please visit http://www.monash.edu.my/student-services/exchange.htm

Entry Requirements for Course and Campus Transfer:

Mathematics Requirements:

Students are eligible to apply for a course transfer if both the minimum percentage required AND maths pre-requisites have been met.

To check your mathematics requirements refer to:

In2Monash or contact a Course Adviser in the Faculty of Business and Economics.

Application Procedure

Students are required to submit an Application for Internal Transfer.

Students applying for courses offered at Caulfield and/or Clayton must supply documentation confirming the mathematics requirements have been met.

Incomplete and late applications will not be accepted.

Students are encouraged to maximise their options by applying for only courses where they expect to meet the entry requirements.

Offers

Only full offers will be made and selection will be based on your results up to and including semester one 2008. Where applicable, students who fail to meet the entry or maths requirements for their chosen course, will be offered a place in a course for which they do meet the requirements. 

If your percentage average increases with the release of semester two results, and this increase allows you to meet the requirements for a higher preference course, you will be reissued with another offer.

• Have you applied for a course that you have met the % average required or are likely to once the current semester results are released?

• If you are applying for a course transfer have you met the mathematics requirements and provided evidence of this with your application?

• Have you completed all parts of the application form including listing 3 course preferences – including ensuring you have the correct course name, code and campus?

• Have you read the important dates and will be available to attend the international registration days?
