Students are provided with comprehensive unit materials. These unit materials may also be supplemented by Blackboard to facilitate interaction with teaching staff and fellow students. Students will be expected to access the internet throughout the semester.
On campus classes are offered. Please refer to campus site for timetable information.
Students seeking to undertake units from another Faculty must get the “host” faculty approval first EXCEPT if the units is being taught by the Faculty of Information Technology.
For Caulfield and Clayton students only open electives can be taken during the summer period. These can be from other Faculties or outside their home campus.
All requests for summer semester MUST be approved by your home campus.
All current Monash students, including non Faculty of Business and Economics students, wishing to enrol in Faculty of Business and Economics summer units must complete an Enrolment Amendment Form and submit it to their home Faculty on their home campus.
Faculty of Business and Economics students must return their complete enrolment form to the Student Services office at their home campus.
Enrolment amendment forms will then be checked and if approved will be added to your study program. All students, except Peninsula, will be advised if their enrolment has been approved or rejected. Peninsula students enrolling in Summer Semester at Peninsula will automatically be approved for enrolment, if pre-requisites have been met.
Business and Economics students who are enrolled at one campus and who are enrolling in summer unit/s at another campus must lodge their enrolment forms with their home campus.
Students from other Faculties must ensure that any summer unit undertaken is approved by their home Faculty and that all unit pre-requisites and course requirements have been met.
Students from other Faculties should return the enrolment form to the student administration office at their home faculty.
In Summer 2009/2010 Commonwealth Supported Place students (previously known as HECS) will be charged Full Fee rates. An indicative price range for students will be $1600 to $3800 per 6 credit point unit. For Faculty of Business and Economics students enrolled in single degrees the fees will be approximately $2400 per 6 credit point unit.

It is the students responsibility to check unit pre-requisites. Please refer to the Monash University handbook for details of unit pre-requisites. It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet all unit pre-requisites and course requirements when enrolling or making unit enrolment amendments.
If you are awaiting results for a unit that is the pre-requisite for a higher-level unit, you may enrol in the higher-level unit. The results for the units attempted in Semester 2, 2009 will be released on 4 December 2009. If you subsequently receive a fail grade, you should immediately check your enrolment details, as you will be automatically be unenrolled from your summer unit.
New students may apply to enrol in summer semester unit/s on a non-award, full-fee paying basis.
Applications are available from the Student Services Office, Faculty of Business and Economics, Gippsland and Peninsula campuses. Please return the application to the relevant Student Services Office no later than 9th October 2009.
If you are a student at another Australian University you may apply to study units at Monash University during the summer semester. A letter of approval must accompany your application from your home University.

Summer semester examinations will be held from ?????? February 2010.
Summer semester results will be published on the IVR and WWW early March 2010. Results will not be mailed to students.
