Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Economics, Bachelor of Accounting
Graduate profile: Tim White
"At Monash I felt that it was easy to achieve a work, study and life balance. Studying for my double degree in Commerce and Economics meant that I was able to learn the ideal skills for my job that I'm doing today, as well as taking advantage of the student groups and facilities at Monash Clayton. "I played hockey for the Hockey Club and I also used the gym most days; at the Monash Radio Station I used to compile my own radio show and I also wrote for Lot's Wife - the Monash student newspaper. "I've found everything I learnt at Monash has come in handy at work - whether I'm using a net present value model to assess the financial viability of a certain project, or calculating the long run marginal cost as a proxy for price, it's all been very useful for my job at South East Water." These courses offer foundation studies in the main commerce disciplines plus a major chosen from one of: Accounting; Asian development and transition; Business law and taxation; Business Modelling Competition, regulation and public policy; Econometrics and business statistics; Economics; Finance; Human resource management; Information, strategy and decision-making; International commerce; Labour and employment; Management; Marketing and Sustainability.
