Merger: The Development Research Unit and the Asian Business and Economics Research Unit have merged!  The new unit, called the Development Research Unit, will have research programs with a regional focus – on the Asia-Pacific Region – and others with a more thematic focus, mainly around microeconomic issues of development.

2009 Higher Degree Research (HDR) Student Workshop 
Students undertaking Honours, Masters and DBA/PhD programs in International Business, Development areas and research related to the European Union are cordially invited to join other HDR students and their supervisors at a research workshop. Students working on International business, Development areas and reasearch relating to European Union are particularly encouraged to present.

Economic Growth and Development Conference
The Department of Economics and Development Research Unit, Monash University along with the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance, Deakin University will be hosting a conference on economic growth and development. The conference will be held at Monash University's Caulfield Campus in Melbourne, Australia.
