Tourist Behaviour
Research examining the distinct but related phenomena of tourist experience and tourist satisfaction is included in this category. Some of this research is targeted at independent travellers including, but not limited to, backpackers, volunteers, and those motivated by particular special interests such as study and learning, religion, risk and adventure, heritage, and wine and food. Tourist motivations, expectations, decision-making, on-site behaviour and experiential outcomes are important dimensions.
